HP’s latest EliteBook 800 G6 comes with extra options for privacy along with security software agent that guards them from zero-day attacks. All the models – EliteBook 830 G6, EliteBook 850 G6, EliteBook 840 G6, and EliteBook x360 G6 – all of them make way for 18 hours of battery life, options for 1000-nit screen that is possible to be used outdoors, and a behind-the-glass privacy shutter.
The screen size is also different for all 4. EliteBook x360 830 G6 and EliteBook 830 G6 have 13.3-inch displays. 850 G6 comes across as a 15-inch laptop and 840 G6 has 14 inches.
HP has taken special care by innovating 2 axes: enhancing hardware and getting additional software’s and services. The latter thing is known as “Sure Sense”. It is a part of every newly announced EliteBook PC.
Sure Sense is capable of intelligently deciding whether external factors prove to be a risk to the system. Sure Click exercises the function of sandboxing browser tabs to have an increased level of security along with HP endpoint security controller; with protected, novel 5th gen Sure Recover and Sure Start startup backups.
The 3rd gen Sure View display option does reduce viewing angle; thereby aiding in prevention of prying eyes from looking into your laptop. There is also a physical privacy shutter; in spite of being mounted behind glass. This would be reassuring users that shutter would be covering camera sensor on physical grounds.
However, these EliteBooks are not equipped with technologies for disabling microphone; which won’t be able to prevent the remote users from lending an ear to conversation.
